Lancashire League Championship Season 1938

An exciting finale to the cricket season, and a chance to see the great George Headley in action.

The Haslingden v Todmorden final at Burnley Cricket Ground concludes the 1938 season, and gives us a chance to see the great Jamaican cricketer George Headley in action. He is on the losing side, though, and the trophy goes to the winning team, Todmorden, a West Yorkshire town playing in the Lancashire league. This excellent pre-war film record continues with civic scenes in the Rossendale area.
