Norfolk Farming

North Norfolk farmer, David Maufe, captures working life on his farm, Branthill Farms at Holkham in this home movie from 1953.

Branthill Farm at Holkham near Wells-next-the-Sea remains to this day a working farm, owned and run by the Maufe family. In 1953, David Maufe captured the farmers and labourers at work as they plough, crop, gather, and harvest in the North Norfolk sunshine.

Branthill is located within a designated area of outstanding natural beauty running along the Heritage Coast in North Norfolk.
