Thorpe: Moving House

Home movies from disabled filmmakers are a rarely studied subgenre of amateur film making. Does the filmmaker's disability change the subject matter? Perhaps, as for John Thorpe from Wolvey in Warwickshire the move to a new home for his family has clear significance. His newly built bungalow on Piper's Lane in the village has to meet his needs and in the early 1960s even a ramped entrance was a rare sight.
