International Four Town Competition

Stand well clear for this one - it's competitive brick and rolling pin throwing as the Strouds of the English speaking world come together.

A trial of strength between four towns all named Stroud. In 1967 the Gloucestershire town welcomed athletes from Strouds in Canada, Australia and the USA. And the sports chosen? It's got to be brick throwing for the men and, spurning equality of course, rolling pin throwing for the women. The final thrower in this short news item is local legend of the rolling pin, Eunice Guy, a one time world champion in this fringe of fringe sports.
