Curly Whitehead (ATV Today)

At North Aston in Oxfordshire William 'Curly' Whitehead knows all there is to know about the countryside - just don't expect him to sing.

At 90 years old Curly Whitehead from North Aston in Oxfordshire has more than a lifetime's experience of working on the land. Sue Jay meets him and finds out that far from slowing down he gets up at 4:30am every morning to tend his vegetables; his eagle eyes root out the local poachers (at only a pound a season though) and the local hunt calls on his knowledge to stop foxes from going to ground. He claims his seemingly boundless energy levels are down to a long life of hard work.
