In October 1962 the Rugeley firm of Lancashire Dynamo Electronic Products put a note in staff pay packets about 'the conduct of personal relationships on the company premises'. Within hours the media had descended on the factory amid tales of 'lunchtime necking sessions' and the story, as we'd now say, had 'gone viral'. Reg Harcourt talks to a management representative and staff who downplay the story - which was surely a great disappointment to the press pack.
