Trebettyn - horses

A move from Cardiff to Cowbridge – Trebettyn Farm - means more time with the horses for the Iles girls, seen here with their mounts.

Christmas 1948 was a busy one for the Iles family as the week before they had moved from Heathwood Road, Cardiff, to Trebettyn Farm, Cowbridge. Here the Iles girls – Monica and Gillian – could develop their riding skills. Their father, Reginald G Iles, who shot the footage during their first year on the farm, worked in the Bonus Dept. of Imperial Tobacco (Cardiff) and was a founder member of the South Wales and Monmouthshire Agriculture and Horse Shows Association.
