Queen Mother Opens Latymer School Extension

Latymer school, located in Edmonton, was established by wealthy merchant Edward Latymer in 1624. This film captures the opening of new north-western wing by the Queen Mother in 1966. The programme for the day included a ceremony in the school's Great Hall followed by a plaque unveiling and a tour of the new facilities along with interesting demonstrations - offering an insight into teaching at the time.
