London's Torchlight Procession Topical Budget 846-2
London salutes fallen war heroes with a public show of Remembrance.
London salutes fallen war heroes on Armistice Day, nine years after the end of WWI. The torch-lit procession, led by the Prince of Wales, saw thousands of ex-servicemen and women parade from the Albert Hall to the Cenotaph in a public demonstration of Remembrance. Topical Budget's newsreel cameraman clearly had a hard time securing a good view behind the mass of spectators, gathered to pay their respects. The day's memorial events also included concerts at the Albert Hall and Hyde Park, as well as the traditional wreath-laying at the Cenotaph.
