cottage (261). Inside, a sick girl Mary Elliott lies in bed with nurse, doctor
and mother looking on. The commentary remarks that by the time the doctor was
called to this case, the patient was too ill to be moved to hospital and has
therefore been cared for by the district nurse. The doctor examines the girl
and the nurse helps her to lie back in bed whilst the doctor is shown out by
the patient's mother (282). MCU of patient, then camera follows the doctor to
