Join the disabled girls from the Halliwick Girls School, Winchmore Hill, on a day out to the seaside for boating, yo-yos and ice cream.

Post-war life at the Halliwick Girls School sees the students whisked off by 'Uncles' of Southgate's Rotary Club. The day might have been tinged with DéjÃ vu for the girls, who would have only just returned from Devon, where they were evacuated during the war. The Halliwick Girls School was also where a swimming therapy called the Halliwick Concept, still used today, was developed.
