Hunting Scenes

A-hunting we will go... - hunters, horses and hounds in the Lancashire countryside.

This compilation reel records a traditional, yet controversial, rural pastime, as hunters gather to socialise, and ride across the rolling Lancashire countryside in pursuit of their prey. We also see stable scenes at the Ribblesdale Arms in Gisburn, a Pony Club rally, Hunter trials, and the filmmaker John Hindley with his daughter Valerie, sitting by a roaring fire after a day in the saddle.
