Steam Smoke & Sentiment

Steam, smoke, grime and oil add to the atmosphere of this award winning film about a day in the life of the Bluebell Railway

Starting at the Bluebell Railway's Sheffield Park Station, we see Wainwright C Class number 592 being prepared by volunteers for a day's work on the line. Once coaled and watered, she's backed onto her train, which is full of visitors, and at a signal from the guard, it's off towards Horstead Keynes. Back at Sheffield Park we see volunteers working at the Bluebell's carriage and locomotive workshops before ending with more shots of 592 tirelessly performing her duties.
