Wirksworth Uphill Beer Barrel Race (ATV Today)

At their secret Peak District training camp outside Wirksworth a group of elite athletes prepare for an extreme sporting challenge.

Chris Tarrant drops by the 'training camp' set up by a group of Wirksworth pub landlords who are preparing for a sporting challenge that will test their strength and endurance: pushing beer barrels up a hill! The main credit has to go the ATV film crew though as they manage to stretch this visually limited shoot to over six minutes. The organiser, who is pushing a 'party seven' style can rather than a full barrel, is not the only one who is not taking this 'sport' seriously.
