Established in 1992, the South West Film & Television Archive collection spans from 1893 to the present day containing more than 250,000 items. Formed from a variety of depositors, including broadcast news and programmes material from the Westward and TSW archive. In 2018 the archive collection transferred to The Box in Plymouth.

Army recruitment drive at a school in Weymouth, Dorset

A secondary school in Weymouth have been playing host to the Royal Armoured Corps RAC, during an army recruitment drive. Pupils Peter Williams and Richard have been interviewed as they believe they would like to join the army.

The RAC not the car breakdown cover company, was founded 4 April 1939 and combined the Cavalry Corps with the Royal Tank Regiments. They are spilt into the armoured regiment using armoured tanks in a full assault in times of war and formation reconnaissance regiments using smaller tactical vehicles and weapons.
