1924 Passes Unrepentant Topical Budget 697-1

Dramatic floods strike London in this look back at the wettest year since 1859.

The dismal weather of 1924 is the focus of this short film, which shows rowing boats on the streets of a Thames Valley town and reports that 5,000 million gallons of water were pouring over Teddington Lock every 24 hours. There is also film of violent seas striking the coast at Dover, and boats bobbing on stormy seas in the English Channel.
