Oxford Street

Shot on 16mm and directed by prolific filmmaker Michael Slowe, this film captures London's iconic shopping epicentre through a multitude of angles to give a unique perspective of a unique street. The film also features the streets most notable figures, including "Protein Man" Stanley Green, who sold his pampthlet on "Protein Wisdom" in and around Oxford Street for some 25 years. At the time GLC were trying to minimise through traffic on London's most dangerous street.
