British Legion Club. New building opened by General Butler at Flint.

Tall and imposing army officer, with name to match, opens the British Legion club in Flint, after inspecting veterans and laying a wreath on the local war memorial.

Lieutenant General Sir Richard Harte Keatinge Butler, KCB, KCMG (1870-1935), who is tall and imposing enough to carry off such a name, travels from Shropshire to open, with some help, the British Legion Club in Flint and to lay a wreath on the local war memorial that was unveiled in 1926. The opening is believed to have taken place in 1928.
