The Box
Established in 1992, the South West Film & Television Archive collection spans from 1893 to the present day containing more than 250,000 items. Formed from a variety of depositors, including broadcast news and programmes material from the Westward and TSW archive. In 2018 the archive collection transferred to The Box in Plymouth.

New Command Ceremony in Plymouth


Commander-in-Chief Plymouth Vice Admiral Sir Charles Piercy Mills hands over to his successor Rear Admiral John Roxburgh who took the new title of Flag Officer Plymouth. The ceremony is at held at Mount Wise in Plymouth's Devonport, Naval Headquarters from 1934 until 1996. Vice Admiral Mills leaves with his family on HMS Llandaff to take up his new appointment as Lieutenant Governor of Guernsey. The cadets are from HMS Fisgard Royal Navy Articifer Training School.
