The Dragon and The Fly


A surreal moving image artist film that juxtaposes industrial landscapes with the struggle of a fly.

Made by Czech filmmaker Vera Neubauer, this film was One of ten productions commissioned to celebrate the launch of the London Filmmakers' Co-op's new premises, the Lux Centre. The LFMC was formed in 1966 out of Better Books bookshop on Charing Cross Road; influenced by similar organisations in America, its objectives were to provide exhibition and distribution facilities for artist filmmakers, such as Vera.
