Snowdrop Ferry at Seacombe (1901)
Ferries across the Mersey show Edwardian workers on their daily commute to and from Liverpool.
Three views of Mersey ferries taking workers to and from Edwardian Liverpool are collected here: the Snowdrop arrives at Seacombe, workers flood out of one of the ferry ports and the 'Lily' heads back to Liverpool. The comings and goings of ferries between Liverpool and the Wirral are a distinctive feature of the city's life, and the passengers seen here highlight the diversity of its workforce.
M&K 210: Note: Most of the men are wearing coats and bowler hats and it is probable that they are going to or from work.
M&K 210,211 and 212 make up this one film title.
