Ramblers


A newsreel fragment and snippet of social history here, as M.P. Charles Trevelyan lends his support to the campaign for ramblers' access to public footpaths. Trevelyan was a keen walker, championing increased public access to the countryside. A popular cause, as the ramblers' enthusiasm and energy is evident. Just give them the right to roam! But don't call them hikers - they don't like it...
