Man who Lives up a Tree

What makes you live up a tree, for goodness sake? Meeting Frank Gunnell, Powick's legendary tree dweller.

At Powick in Worcestershire, Jenny Martin meets bin man Frank Gunnell who has been living outdoors for years. With the nearby River Teme a regular source of flooding it is not surprising that he has chosen to elevate his living space and now dwells at the top of a tree. Jenny is not really dressed for tree climbing but does manage to sum up Frank nicely: "...a life of complete contentment in a world that is racked by discontent".
