Meet Llanarmon: the postman, the postmistress, the roof-mender, a toy-maker, a farmer, the music teacher watering her garden and the parson.

Engineer W H [Bill] Crawford records with affection the community that provided a refuge for him and his family when they were bombed out of their Liverpool home in 1940. They moved into their Llanarmon holiday home – ‘Ellerslie' - for the duration. His eye is caught by various vehicles: beautifully-shaped daily buses and the specials used for the annual church picnic, tractors of various makes engaged in harrowing and haymaking, and a splendid hearse with underage driver!
