Oat Harvest and Sheep MOTs

The swallows on the telegraph lines indicate that it is summer in Welshpool although the wet weather has favoured the ducklings on the pond over the Trants’ oat harvest which is stooked but sprouting and therefore good for neither man nor beast. On a dry day, the sheep are given a health check (teeth, udders, hooves) and one sunny evening Rosemary Trant takes her pony Susie, along with her siblings David and Clare, to visit some young friends as a special bedtime treat.
