Brush Making Today

Documentary about the Hamilton and Co Brush Works located between Greenhill and Wealdstone in the borough of Harrow.

Home grown industry. The Hamilton and Co Brush Works was a prominent employer in the Greenhill area - at the height of WWII they delivered 50,000 shaving brushes a week to army. Lead by a suitably plummy narrator, the film documents production - from the sourcing of local beach wood to the mechanised factory floor - culminating with a housewife taking much delight in her new broom.
