Hafod-y-Ddôl Grammar School, Nantyglo: sports, science and snow

Nantyglo Grammar School’s Physics teacher Roy Miles films sprinters and relay teams in the White, Mauve and Gold houses as they compete in the summer heat on the track with its extensive views of hills and slag heaps. Spectators gather by the green corrugated iron sports shed and queue at the ice-cream van. In winter, the landscape is beautiful under snow. In the science lab, experiments are undertaken all year round, using specialist equipment of glass and brass.
