Little Bits of Southwell

The exact source of this early 9.5mm home movie shot at Southwell in Nottinghamshire in 1928 remains a mystery but there are a few clues to be had. The reference to the pub (The Admiral Nelson) being 'Walter's Hole' appears to be about the landlord, whose name was indeed Walter Hole. The family group are certainly having fun before venturing on their short walk across fields - look out for both the boy with the cap-gun and Bonzo the dog playing up to the camera.
