University of Nottingham: Carnival Revue 1951

From high jinks in the River Trent to rough and tumble rugby and a lively carnival parade, the students of Nottingham University really went to town for their rag week in Festival of Britain year. They even went as far as creating their own model of London's iconic Skylon tower, which they erected in Nottingham's Old Market Square. Indoor entertainments also feature from a carnival revue to a fancy dress 'rag hop' at the end of the reel.
