Curworthy Farmhouse Cheese

Farmhouse cheese production is traditional

Stockbeare Farm situated in the mid Devon countryside under the shadow of Dartmoor near Okehampton and has been producing Curworthy Cheese for 25 years. Curworthy cheese started in a simple farmhouse kitchen and developed into an award winning company.

The award winning cheeses are full fat hard cheeses based on traditional 17th Century recipe with a creamy light buttery taste when young, developing into a full flavoured mellowness when aged. The curd after pressing overnight in traditional presses is soaked in brine then matured in special temperature controlled ripening rooms. With the exception of salt to enhance the flavour, no colouring or preservatives are added.
