Lord Mayor's Show and on the set of Carry on Cabby with Sid James

The 1963 Lord Mayor's Show clearly had construction at its heart. One standout float, produced by Trollope & Col (UK), depicts an elephant carrying a giant tube - obviously representing their pioneering use of reinforced concrete. Moving on, a Concours d'Elegance featuring taxis takes place in Battersea Park. Fresh from Carry on Cabby - released that year - Sid James is along to sign autographs.
