Aberystwyth Post Office

Aberystwyth’s Grade II listed, purpose-built Post Office building was in use for over a hundred years, from 1906 until 2016 when its counter functions were transferred, controversially, to the local branch of WHSmith, newsagent. This film shows some of the regular services provided and also developments of the period: the newly built or refurbished sorting office has had a conveyor belt installed to move full post bags. The actual sorting, however, is still done by hand.
