Focus on Progress

From the collection of

East Anglian Film Archive at the University of East Anglia
The East Anglian Film Archive, the UK's first regional film archive, offers a unique record of the East of England's social and cultural history. As part of the University of East Anglia, we continue to lead moving image heritage research and inspire audience participation through community projects and events. Our collections represent a broad range of amateur and professional creativity, from 1896 to the present day.

Focus on Progress

This promotional video takes a look at the function of the King’s Lynn Chamber of Trade and Commerce. At the time of the video, Kings Lynn’s industry was rapidly expanding, and this video introduces us to some of the key players in the chamber, and the trades that they represent.  It promotes the benefits of joining the chamber, having both business-related and social benefits. Shows much of the town centre, shops, housing, redevelopment and docks in the 1970s.
