Bluewater Holiday

The boat they hire is ‘Bluewater’ - a 4-berth cabin cruiser offering luxury accommodation for their Norfolk Broads holiday. Between 26th May and 4th June 1940, just seven years later and in very different times, the cruiser Bluewater would join around 850 other craft that crossed the Channel to Dunkirk in France to help rescue more than 336,000 British and French soldiers from the Normandy beaches. Sadly, Bluewater did not return.
