Inward Bound

Travelling inland with the 'Manchester Commerce', heading for home.

Metropolitan-Vickers Amateur Cine Society presents this "filmic essay" - a fascinating record of North West industrial heritage taking us along the Ship Canal from the Mersey to Manchester Docks. We travel inland with the 'Manchester Commerce', passing under the operational Runcorn transporter bridge to the vessel's home port, and the docks where the cranes can set to work unloading her cargo.
