Carnifal Aberdyfi

The whole town plus organ grinder and dancing clowns is out on the streets and promenade for the carnival, the cafes all doing a brisk trade.

The Medical Hall is open in Aberdyfi on carnival day, not just in case anyone over-indulges or is in any other way over-come, but for those just requiring a cuppa, the cafes are all open too. Business is brisk as the whole town has hit the sunny streets. An organ grinder passes by without a monkey, a band leads a fancy dress parade, money is collected by a men in waders and drag, a smart open-topped car attracts some attention, and a pair of clowns dance blithely for the camera.

Shot by the projectionist for screening at the Powys Cinema, Machynlleth, for the entertainment, delight or embarrassment of those who had been present on the day.
