At Tipton, John Swallow follows up on the unlikely theory that black pudding, a Black Country delicacy described here as 'the most revered of all sausages', is an aphrodisiac. The butcher is not so sure but out on the streets the people of Tipton have not only considered it, some have even put the theory to the test.
