Worcester, riding high as England's cricket county champions, prepare to face the 'unfashionable' Kiwis.

At the New Road ground in Worcester Simon Smith previews the first match of New Zealand's 1965 tour of England. The test matches against England are still ahead but first there's the little matter of a three day match with in-form side Worcester, who are the reigning county champions. Smith talks to captains John Read and Don Kenyon and watches the first ball being unleased by Worcester's Jack Flavell.

The three day match at New Road finished a draw.
