Royal Carriages approach Westminster Bridge

This film was taken by one of Robert Paul's cameramen towards the end of the parade, as the procession was returning across the river via Westminster Bridge. It shows some of the extended Royal Family file past in multiple carriages - no wonder the film was sold under the Code Word "CAVALCADE."

In today's usage, "cavalcade" is somewhat histrionic suggesting that something is overdone: but here, no word could be more appropriate.
