Appeal for help with canal route surgery, as one of Britain's great waterway journeys is restored to its 87 mile glory.

It might not be the quickest way to get from London to Bristol, but it's probably the prettiest. Linking the rivers Avon, Kennet and Thames into one navigable trade route was a great achievement of the Industrial Revolution, but one quickly surpassed by the Great Western Railway. The effort to restore the canal as a watery playground for all is documented in this film, which also appeals for funds to finish the job.
