Hastings - holiday town of contrasts

Just as the Costas began to dominate, here's a lovely film about having a holiday in Hastings. So don't forget your bikini as you enjoy the sights, play Bingo and eat fish & chips.

A 1972 film promoting Hastings as a holiday destination. Unusually, it features vox-pops from holidaymakers, who all agree that the resort has everything including; safe beaches where bikinis rule, the annual Carnival, a noisy Town Crier's contest, trips to various castles, Kipling's house at Burwash and holidaymakers having fun. That includes water-skiing, fishing, visiting subterranean caves and a pottery, playing bowls and Bingo and enjoying fresh fish & chips.
