A fascinating insight into how disabled young people are inducted into the Scout Association and movement in the 1960s. Despite some laudable attempts at inclusion, it is clear that social awkwardness and ambivalent attitudes around "the handicapped" still pervaded the Scouting at that time. Promotional film, made for the Greater London Handicapped Scout Advisory Panel, which describes itself as "a film to show how the Handicapped Boy can be integrated into the Scout Movement through the Normal Group." Contains footage of fund-raising activities, Scout meetings and the annual camp for handicapped Scouts, the Agoonoree.
