WI Fashion Show

No jam and preserves for this W.I. group; it's cocktail dresses and beach wear shown off by the women of Little Compton.

Reporter Jenny Martin (complete with an extraordinary hat) admits that she's not heard of the Warwickshire village of Little Compton. However, the local Women's Institute is going some way to change that with a fashion show in the village hall. As Jenny helps one of the women into a large hooped petticoat she finds out why they've put on a show "so far away from the big wide world". The opening and closing sections of this early television report are silent.
