Day in Horsted Keynes Women’s Institute

Those indomitable women of the Horsted Keynes Women's Institute enjoy a day trip to Treemans in this delightful color film from 1954.

An outing is announced and we soon see a Southdown single-decker bus leaving Hayward's Heath to take members of Horsted Keynes' Women's Institute on their day-trip to Treemans. As the bus passes through quiet roads the ladies assemble on the green waiting to be underway. Once at Treemans, they sit in the gardens listening to a lecture on castles. This is followed by tea, cakes and chatting. The film ends back in Horsted Keynes with youngsters engaged in sporting activities.
