Gentleman Fishing

A splash of Victorian comedy that still reels you in

The most important fact about this Victorian comic short is that it is still funny. Certainly, the intelligent use of stop-action, reverse projection and seamless editing are all noteworthy. But the biggest reason to press play is that it will put a great big smile on your face. Go on, dive in!

COMEDY. A man sits on a barge fishing. A fish is seen in the water, and it pulls him into the water. Dated 1896-1900.

Note: Possibly FISHERMAN'S LUCK (Warwick 1899) or FISHERMAN'S LUCK (Gibbons' Bio-Tableaux 1900).
